Further Development
Work began in late 2013 on a £24m extension to the park which included a seven screen Odeon cinema, seven restaurants such as Ed's Easy Diner, Pizza Express, Five Guys, Nando's, TGI Friday's, Frankie & Benny's and Chiquito. Caffe Nero and a children’s play area were also part of this redevelopment.
[1] It will occupy the area which formerly housed Megabowl, Chiquito, Frankie & Benny's and the previous UCI cinema, which were cleared in 2008..
New stores were also added too such as T.K.Maxx, HomeSense, the chain's first store in Scotland, (Both occupying previous Comet and JJB outlets). Primark occupies the former Toys R Us superstore. Other stores just added include Jacamo, Simply-Be and Fatface.
As of mid December 2014 Frankie and Benny's, TGI Fridays, Five Guys, Chiquito, Caffè Nero, Ed's Easy Diner, T.K.Maxx, HomeSense and Fatface have all opened their doors to customers leaving only Odeon to arrive in March 2015
On Friday 20 March 2015, Odeon opened their doors to the public.
By late November 2015, the car park had been redesigned, creating a more efficient environment.
Primark officially opened on Wednesday 16th December at 10am, completing the £24m extension to the retail park. The Fort Kinnaird retail park is now more popular than ever, with more than 60 of the nation's favourite stores and restaurants.
