Footy Classified NRL Finals is a new show coming to the Nine Network on Monday 7 September 2015. The show will have an outlook of the NRL finals series. The show is be hosted by Nine News sport presenter Yvonne Sampson with former NRL players Andrew Johns, Brett Finch and current player Billy Slater, with former NRL Coach Phil Gould doing exclusive one-on-one interviews. After the first episode Brett Finch left the show being replaced by Darren Lockyer. Gorden Tallis joined the panel for the last episode of the season.
Scheduling
In 2015 the show aired on Monday Nights at 9.40pm on Channel 9 in NSW and QLD, except the last episode which aired on a Tuesday Night at 9.40pm. In VIC, SA and WA the show aired on early Tuesday Mornings after Midnight on GEM except the last episode which aired on a Wednesday Morning on GEM after Midnight.
In 2016 the show will air on Wednesday Nights at 8.30pm on Channel 9 in NSW and QLD.
The show will be replayed the nationally on Thursday Mornings on GEM at 12.30am. It will also be repeated at 10.30pm AEST following Friday Night Football on Nine in NSW & QLD and on GEM in Vic, SA & WA. Then once again on Sunday Mornings on GEM at 4.30am.
On State of Origin Nights the show air on the Thursday Night.
2016-present
As of 2016 the show will be permanent on Wednesday Nights at 8.30pm. It will be hosted by Yvonne Sampson, with original panelist Andrew Johns and new panelists Peter Sterling and Brad Fittler. It will air every Wednesday Night of the NRL Season. The show will replace the former Thursday Night edition of The NRL Footy Show on the Nine Network. The NRL Footy Show was axed in 2016 due the Channel 9 starting to show a regular Thursday Night NRL match.
