In the Dungeons & Dragons fantasy role-playing game, the firetoad is a type of magical beast.
Publication history
The firetoad first appeared in the original first edition Fiend Folio (1981).[1]
The giant fire toad appeared in second edition under the "toad" entry in the Monstrous Compendium Volume One (1989),[2] and reprinted in the Monstrous Manual (1993).[3]
The fire toad appeared in third edition in Oriental Adventures (2001).[4]
Description
A firetoad is a large, red toad about four feet long and covered with rough, purple warts. A firetoad can exhale a small fireball when threatened, disturbed, or defending its lair.
