Metsä Wood (formerly 'Finnforest') is the wood products arm of Finnish pulp and paper group Metsäliitto. Metsä Wood mainly provides timber and engineered wood products for the construction industry. Headquartered in Espoo, the company employs some 3000 people in 20 countries.

Finnforest (Metsäliitto Cooperative) is part of Metsä Group. Metsä Group also include Metsä Tissue, Metsä Board, Metsä Fibre, Metsä Wood and Metsä Forest.

Headquarters are in Tapiola.

Energy

Peat energy

Metsäliitto owned 33% of Vapo in 2002-2005 and 49.9% in 2005-2009. Vapo is the major peat energy producer in Finland. In 2009 ownership of Vapo was reconstructed to Suomen Energiavarat Oy, owned by EPV Energy (ex Etelä-Pohjanmaan Voima Oy) and several peat energy using companies.
