Ferula hermonis is a Middle Eastern species of plants in the carrot family native to Syria, Israel, and Lebanon.[1] The epithet hermonis refers to Mount Hermon on the border between Syria and Lebanon.[2][3]

Common names include Zallouh (Arabic: زلّوع) and Lebanese Viagra. The latter name alludes to the traditional use of the roots of this plant as a purported aphrodisiac.[4][5]
