The fernwren (Oreoscopus gutturalis) is a species of bird in the Pardalotidae family. It is monotypic within the genus Oreoscopus.[2]
It is endemic to northern Queensland in Australia. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests and subtropical or tropical moist montane forests.
