Federal Way Transit Center station
The Federal Way Station is a proposed Link Light Rail station and terminus of the Federal Way Link Extension, to be constructed as part of a future Sound Transit system expansion plan. The station will be located at the new Federal Way Transit Center in Downtown Federal Way, Washington. If constructed, the station will be elevated, located on the eastern side of the parking garage. Several expansion projects will be constructed to support the expected surge of transit users in the area, such as new parking, a larger bus transfer facility, and minor road improvements.
The Sound Transit 2 Plan, which passed in November, 2008, approved the expansion of Central Link to a station at Redondo/Star Lake in northern Federal Way. The downtown Federal Way station will be one station past Redondo/Star Lake Station.
The Federal Way Transit Center is currently served by King County Metro, Sound Transit and Pierce Transit.
