Federação Portuguesa de Naturismo

The Portuguese Naturist Federation became the coordinating entity of naturist activity in Portugal in 1998. It united several clubs and associations, and organizes activities aimed at its members. The Federation also promotes holistic, nature-integrated naturist practices, both physical and mental.

Over the past 37 years, the FPN has advocated for naturist causes. It was involved in the passage of Portuguese laws 92/88, 29/94, and 53/10; in recognition by the Portuguese government of official nude beaches in Meco, Bela Vista,[1] Ilha de Tavira (Barril), Salto, Adegas, Alteirinhos, and Deserta; the beginning of naturist activities in a council swimming pool and health club, and supporting the development of infrastructure for tourist accommodation. It also helped open the “Quinta dos Carriços”, “Quinta das Oliveiras”, “Monte Barão”, and “Quinta do Maral” campsites.
