Fayetteville is a train station located in Fayetteville, North Carolina, and served by Amtrak, the United States' passenger rail system. It is served by Amtrak's Palmetto and Silver Meteor passenger trains. The street address is 472 Hay Street, and is located in the heart of historic downtown Fayetteville.
The station was originally built in 1911 by the Atlantic Coast Line Railroad, and was the third station to be located at the corner of Hay and Hillsborough Streets. The station has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places since July 7, 1982.[2] Between 2005 and 2006, the station was restored in an effort to bring it up to compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990.[3] No Fayetteville Area System of Transit buses stop at the station, though some do drive by it. Passengers must walk a few blocks to catch a FAST bus.
