Farm to Market Road 1044 (FM 1044) is a 7.787 mi (12.532 km) farm-to-market road in Comal and Guadalupe counties, Texas.[1]

Route description

FM 1044 begins in central New Braunfels, at an intersection with the northbound frontage road of IH 35 at Exit #185. While it is generally north–south in direction,[2][3] it is signed as an east–west route. The route's eastern terminus is at FM 78 east of Marion.[1]

History

A previous route with the designation FM 1044 existed in Knox County from 1948 to 1953. That mileage was transferred to FM 266.[1]

The current FM 1044 designation was established in 1953, connecting US 81 (now the IH 35 freeway) to FM 78.[1]
