Personal life
Falaq hails from the city of Meerut, Uttar Pradesh. She completed her schooling from various places like Dehradun, Meerut and Delhi. Falaq's family includes her mother and her three other siblings among whom she is the eldest. Her father died when she was young, so her mother took care of the whole family. Falaq was passionate about dancing so her mother enrolled her and her younger sister, Shafaq, in the Indian Film and Television Institute, Meerut. Falaq learned dancing from prominent Bollywood choreographer, Saroj Khan. It was on Saroj Khan's persistence that Falaq and Shafaq, along with their family, shifted to Mumbai in February 2010 and started auditioning for television shows.[3]
