Fox TV is a television channel broadcasting in Turkey, and was associated with Fox Broadcasting Company. The history of the television channel began in 1993 under the name TGRT. The channel broadcast both local and foreign programs, with the latter being broadcast as a dubbed program, rather than in original language.

Since July 2012, Fox TV broadcast in 16:9.

History

The channel was originally TGRT and began broadcasting on April 23, 1993, under Ihlas Holding. Between 2001 and 2004, TGRT was owned by Tasarruf Mevduatı Sigorta Fonu before being sold again to Ihlas Holding.

On July 23, 2006, News Corporation acquires TGRT from Ihlas Holding, and is formed by Ahmet Ertegün. The channel began broadcasting on February 24, 2007. Pietro Vicari was the General Manager of Fox TV Turkey between 2008-2014. On November 26, 2014 Adam Theiler is appointed as the general manager of Fox TV Turkey.[1]
