OFK Balkan Mirijevo
FK Balkan Mirijevo (Serbian Cyrillic: ФK Бaлкaн Mиpиjeвo) is a football club based in Mirijevo, Belgrade, Serbia, established in 1926. During the 1990s the club was known as FK Balkan Bukovica, after sponsor, however during winter break in 2008 Balkan Bukovica changed its name to OFK Balkan Mirijevo. In summer 2011, Balkan became a branch of Serbian giants Red Star Belgrade.
History
In the seasons 1941–42 and 1942–43 Balkan played in the Serbian League which was the top national tier of the German-occupied Serbia during World War Two, finishing 10th[1] and 8th[2] respectivelly. Their main players in this period were former BSK Belgrade players Dragutin Najdanović, Rajko Pašanski and Miloš Šijačić.[3]
