The FIA WTCC Race of Portugal is a round of the World Touring Car Championship, which has been held at the Autódromo do Estoril, Circuito da Boavista and Autódromo Internacional do Algarve in Portugal. Between 2015 and 2017 it will be held at Circuito Internacional de Vila Real in Vila Real.[1]

The race was first run in July 2007 at the Circuito da Boavista street course in the city of Porto, a track which was used as a Formula One track for the Portuguese Grand Prix in 1958 and 1960, and was revived in 2005 as a historic racing venue. The WTCC only usefd the track every other year though, so in 2008 the Estoril track was used. In 2010 and 2012 the Autódromo Internacional do Algarve at Portimão was used. It returned to the calendar for the 2015 World Touring Car Championship season, now held at the Circuito Internacional de Vila Real in Vila Real.[2]

Tiago Monteiro is the only Portuguese driver to have won his home race. He has taken two victories in Portugal, firstly in 2008 when the race was held at Estoril and then again in race one of the 2010 Race of Portugal at Portimão.[3]
