FC Shurtan Guzar (Uzbek: Sho'rtan G'uzor professional futbol klubi or Шўртан Ғузор футбол клуби, Russian: Футбольный клуб Шуртан Гузар) is an Uzbek football club based in G‘uzor, Uzbekistan.

History

The club played its first years in lower divisions of Uzbekistan. In 2006 FC Shurtan made its debut year in Uzbek League. In 2010 Shurtan performed clubs the most successful season, finishing 2010 league at 4th position and runner-up in Uzbek Cup. In quarter-final of Uzbek Cup they beat Pakhtakor in aggregate und Lokomotiv Tashkent in semi-final. Shurtan lost in Final match in Tashkent to Bunyodkor with 0:1.

In 2011 Shurtan made its international debut, playing in AFC Cup. The club managed 2nd place in group stage, but lost in one leg round of 16 match against Al Wehdat with 1:2.[1]

On 22 November 2011 Shurtan management appointed Igor Kriushenko as new head coach, he replaced Tachmurad Agamuradov.[2]Kriushenko was fired on 5 July 2012 and was replaced by Edgar Gess who worked as head coach until May 15, 2013. Gess was also fired after poor results in League matches. Shurtan changed head coaches twice in 2013. The club ranked 14th in League and relegated to First League. After one year, in 2014 club won First League and promoted back to top division.
