Evil in the Night is American thrash metal band Merciless Death's debut album limited to 100 copies. It was self-released on May 5, 2006, at the "Thrasho De Mayo I" show held at the Whisky a Go Go in West Hollywood, California with cover artwork by Andy and Cesar Torres.
In an interview with guitarist Dan Holder in 2007, he said another idea they had for the cover artwork was this shadowy figure standing somewhere like on a mountain or something, holding a head up in the air by its hair - with its blood and guts falling out the bottom of the head onto the ground and a knife in his other hand obviously giving the inclination that he had beheaded the person, but they decided on the girl with the zombies.[1]
The album was re-released on March 20, 2007, on Heavy Artillery Records with a new layout and cover artwork by Ed Repka.
