Espinosa is a Spanish surname, spelt Espinoza in South America. Both pronunciations of the name are almost identical. The pronunciation of s in Spain and z (and s) in Latin America are similar, whereas in Spain z is pronounced as English th in thin. In both cases the sounds are voiceless. Spanish does not have a voiced z anywhere and hasn't had it for 500 years (except in Judeo-Spanish).
