Erra (stylized as ERRA) is an American heavy metal band from Birmingham, Alabama,[1] formed in 2009. Their name sake comes from Akkadian mythology and represents mayhem, while their influences include Misery Signals, Born of Osiris, As I Lay Dying and Saosin. The band has released 3 EPs and 2 studio albums to date; their second studio album Augment reached #1 on the Billboard "Heatseekers Albums" chart in 2013.[2] Their next album, titled Drift, is set to be released on April 8, 2016. They have toured with bands like August Burns Red, Tesseract, Born of Osiris, Glass Cloud, Within the Ruins and Texas in July.
