Erlinda Fadera-Basilio or Erlinda F.Basilio (born 1934) is a Philippines Diplomat who has been the Permanent Representatives of the Philippines to the United Nations.[1]

Life

She was born in 1944. She was educated at the University of the Philippines. Her first degree was in Political Science and she also took a masters degree in Asian studies.[1]

She became a diplomat around 1970. She spent eight years in Japan rising to consul-general, followed by another eight years in Cuba. [1] From 1997 to 2003 she was the Ambassador to Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Estonia, Latvia and Lithuenia.[2]

On 5 December 2012, Benigno Aquino chose her as her Ambassador to China. She was chosen as her country's representative to China as she qualified to improve relations. For three yeas she was her country's Permanent Representative at the United Nations[1]
