Erin McGathy

Erin McGathy (born 1985) is an American podcast host and comedian. She is notable for her work on This Feels Terrible, as a co-host of Human Conversation with Wayne Federman, and her work on Harmontown with Dan Harmon.

Early life

McGathy was born in San Diego, California, the daughter of a preacher.[1]

This Feels Terrible

McGathy began performing at the Upright Citizen's Brigade Theatre in 2007. Her solo show about relationships, This Feels Terrible, premiered at UCB in 2010. It later became a podcast, with McGathy interviewing comedians and friends about their relationships. Notable guests included comedians Marc Maron, Dan Harmon, Wayne Federman, and Lego Movie director Rob Schrab.

Harmontown

McGathy became a frequent guest and "comptroller" on the Harmontown podcast as the girlfriend, and later, wife, of that show's host, Dan Harmon. McGathy was a regular character on the show's Dungeons & Dragons segment and subsequently a cast member in the spin-off animated series, Harmonquest.[2]

Human Conversation

McGathy was the co-host, with comedian Wayne Federman, of the podcast Human Conversation.

Personal life

Dan Harmon and McGathy were married in 2014 and announced they were divorcing in 2015. McGathy and Harmon's relationship was one focus of the Harmontown documentary, which detailed that show's tour across America and the tensions it revealed in their relationship.[1]
