Energy in the OPEC countries is an overview of current status in energy in OPEC, Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries. OPEC is an intergovernmental organization of twelve countries: Algeria, Angola, Ecuador, Iran, Iraq, Kuwait, Libya, Nigeria, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, and Venezuela.

Energy per capita: primary energy TWh per million people in 2008: Qatar 220, United Arab Emirates 152, Kuwait 112, Saudi Arabia 76, Libya 34, Iran 33, Venezuela 27, Algeria 13, Iraq 14, Nigeria 9, Ecuador 9 and Angola 7.

Population growth in four years between 2004-2008 was Qatar 64%, Nigeria 18%, Angola 16% and Kuwait and Iraq 11%.
