Empress Xiaoaizhe (died 1644) was a Chinese empress consort of the Ming Dynasty, married to the Tianqi Emperor.
Biography
Empress Xiaoaizhe despised the influential favorites of Tianqi, the eunuch Wei Zhongxian and the nurse Madame Ke, and was involved in several conflicts with them. As they could not attack her directly, they tried to implicate her in various suspicious activities to blacken her name in the eyes of the emperor. At one occasion, they tried to undermine her position by framing her father for criminal activity.
