Elizabeth Ann Wertenberger is an American scholarship pageant titleholder from Dundee, Michigan who was named Miss Michigan 2011.[1][2]

Biography

She won the title of Miss Michigan on June 18, 2011, when she received her crown from outgoing titleholder Katie LaRoche.[3] Wertenberger’s platform is “Continue to Dream: Giving Hope to Children with Chronic Illnesses".[4][5] Wertenberger graduated from Ferris State University's Kendall College of Art and Design in May 2011 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Interior Design and a minor in Graphic Design.[5][6] At 13, Wertenberger was diagnosed with juvenile rheumatoid arthritis, and had to undergo chemotherapy.[4] She was named a Quality of Life Finalist at the Miss America 2012 pageant.[7]
