Eleutherococcus gracilistylus, also known as Acanthopanax gracilistylus, is deciduous plant which is upright and blue in colour.[1] It is considered a medicine with significant side effects.[2] It is also a widely used Chinese plant.[2] It is in the Araliaceae family in the genus Acanthopanax in the species gracilistylus mainly present at altitude 3000m. They are also in Gaoligonshan Nature Reserve.[3] It is widely distributed in China and has been used as a life-saving medicine against severe cases of paralysis, arthritis and liver disease; several experiments were carried out in 2003.[4] The leaves are 350g.[4]
