Eleni Evangel[2] is an Australian politician who is the member for the Western Australian Legislative Assembly seat of Perth. She was a City of Perth councillor between 2005 and 2013.[3]
Evangel, who is of Greek descent, was born in Perth and has a teaching and television presenting background. She is the daughter of Tassos Parissis, once a prominent nightclub and restaurant owner in Northbridge.[4] Under Evangel and the Liberal party, the electoral district of Perth has continued to develop, with major construction projects Elizabeth Quay, the Perth City Link to Northbridge and the East Perth pedestrian bridge earmarked for or heading towards completion.
