El Salvador is a municipality and town in the Guantánamo Province of Cuba. It is located immediately north of the provincial capital, Guantánamo.

In 2004, the municipality of El Salvador had a population of 45,662.[2] With a total area of 637 km2 (246 sq mi),[1] it has a population density of 71.7/km2 (186/sq mi).
