El Mercurio de Valparaíso (Spanish pronunciation: [el merˈkuɾjo ðe βalpaɾaˈiso]) is the oldest circulating newspaper in Chile and in the Spanish language under the same name. It was founded in 1827. It is based in Valparaíso.
