Bagour (Arabic: الباجور  pronounced [elbɑˈɡuːɾ]) is a small city in northern Egypt. It is located in the Delta region in the north of Cairo.

History

Bagour was named after the name "Begour" which was mentioned in the book "Al-Qamoos, The Dictionary" written by Al-Asaad Ibn Mamaty. Bagour has 48 surrounding villages.

Size

203.9 km, 6.678% of Menofia province's total size.

Location

Bagour city is located in the eastern part of Menoufia province, has borders with Benha to the east - 13 km., Menouf to the west - 15 km., Shibin el-koom to the north - 12 km. and Ashmoon to the south - 20 km.

Climate

Köppen-Geiger climate classification system classifies its climate as hot desert (BWh).[1]
