Eka Kurniawan

Eka Kurniawan is an Indonesian writer. He was born in Tasikmalaya, West Java, November 28, 1975. He studied philosophy at Gadjah Mada University, Yogyakarta. He works as a journalist, writer and designer. He writes novels, short stories and movie scripts, as well as essays. His works are translated into more than 22 languages.

He is one of Foreign Policy's Global Thinkers of 2015 "for pinning Indonesian literature on the map."[1]
