Egli Kaja (born 26 July 1997) is an English–Albanian professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for AFC Wimbledon.
Career
Kaja began playing football in 2003 at the age of five with youth side MHD F.C., where he was the club's top goalscorer for three consecutive seasons and was eventually offered a place in the Middlesbrough academy, which was turned down as he joined Kingstonian F.C. in 2006. During his time with the club's youth teams he averaged 40 goals a season between 2006 and 2008 and signed a youth contract with AFC Wimbledon, before being offered a trial with the Chelsea academy.
