Ernesto Billiones or better known as Egay Billiones is a Filipino Professional basketball player of the Asean Basketball League. He last played for the Philippine Patriots.
Player Profile
Egay Billones is a 5-9 playmaker who loves to penetrate the inside lane. Even with his size, he still manages to get the job done. He has good shooting outside the three-point zone and is also considered as one of the fastest players around.
He was dropped by the Gin Kings after picking him up in the 2000 PBA Draft. With no team in the PBA, Billones decided to play in the PBL for Blu Detergent. And in 2002, the Express signed him as rookie free agent.
He played for Air21 (FedEx) from 2002-2006 before being signed by Talk 'N Text in 2007. During the start of the 2008 PBA Fiesta Conference, he then returned to Air21 after the Phone Pals released him.
Player Achievements
PBA career
He delivered a career-high 23 points on May 28, 2008[1] as the Express defeated the Red Bull Barako, 119-100.
He erased his previous high 21 points, which he recorded twice – the first on April 4, 2003 with FedEx in a 95-93 loss to Alaska in the All-Filipino Cup and at Talk 'N Text in Game 5 of the 2007 PBA Fiesta Conference Finals against Alaska.
