Edward Beckles
The Rt Rev Edward Hyndman Beckles,[1] DD was the Anglican Bishop of Sierra Leone[2] from 1860 until 1869.[3]
He was born in Barbados in 1816,[4] educated at Codrington College Barbados and ordained in 1843. After resigning his See he was Minister of Berkeley Chapel, Mayfair,[5] Rector of Wootton, Kent and finally Vicar of St Peter, Bethnal Green.[6]
