Dubai English Speaking College is a British School located in Dubai Academic City, Dubai, UAE. Dubai English Speaking College was established in 2005 and was originally located at the Oud Metha site of their sister school, Dubai English Speaking School, which is Dubai’s oldest British school. DESC opened with 35 Year 7 students and has grown gradually. The College has in excess of 900 students from Year 7 to 13. Their modern facilities are located in Academic City and were officially opened in February 2007 by The Duchess of Cornwall and Her Royal Highness Princess Haya Bint Al Hussein, Princess of Jordan, Sheikha of Dubai. DESC is a ‘not for profit’ organisation. They follow the National Curriculum for England and students take GCSE, AS and A2 (A Level) qualifications.[1]
