The Moto X Play, is one of the third generation Moto X devices, along with the Moto X Style, developed and manufactured by Motorola.[3] The device was announced July 28, 2015 and released August 18, 2015.[3] The device was released internationally, but in the US it is selling as the Verizon-only Droid Maxx 2.[3]

Processor
The Moto X Play is powered by Motorola Mobile Computing System including 1.7 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 Octa-core CPU, Adreno 405 @ 550 MHz GPU, Natural Language Processor and Contextual Computing Processor. It has 2 GB of RAM.
Protection
It is also IP52 Certified which makes it dust and water resistant through nano coating on inside and outside. It also has Corning Gorilla Glass 3 which makes it scratch resistant.
Battery
It is powered by a 3630 mAH lithium polymer Battery. It also Supports Qualcomm Quick charge 2.0 technology.
Camera
It sports a 21–megapixel camera with wide-aperture (f/2.0) lens and Color Correlated Temperature (CCT) dual-LED flash. The camera hardware has Phase Detect Auto-Focus (PDAF), is capable of 1080p HD (30 fps) and Slow motion video.
The camera is enhanced with Motorola software innovations including twist to launch, Instant ON, closed loop processing, Drag-to-set focus & exposure, tap–anywhere to capture, video stabilization, 4X digital zoom, burst mode, night mode, auto HDR, and panorama mode.
On the front, it has a 5MP camera.
