Dragon's Earth (ドラゴンズ・アース, "Dragons Earth")[4] is a Super Famicom strategy video game about defeating dragons, rival armies, and other monsters in order to save medieval European villages from utter destruction.
Gameplay
On the radar, protagonist characters are represented with green dots while the antagonist characters are represented with brown dots. Players must use peasants armed with swords in order to defeat these threats to the kingdom. The main objective in the game is to defeat the dragon that occasionally flies into the map. Peasants can be acquired after taking over a town by sending the player's army to the town center. The amount of peasants that can be acquired is dependent on how much karma the player manages to store up. In addition to fighting, sacred items must be liberated from places that are occupied by enemy forces. These sacred items help increase the maximum amount of karma that the group has.
However, they must be protected from enemy forces. If the player has low karma, he can use his MP to capture and control a monster for a short time. Blood appears on the battlefield as a small red blotch whenever a peasant, a monster, or an enemy soldier is slain in battle.
To summarize game play, do as follows. 1, Create a new group out of a certain amount of forces by dividing your main force. 2, Have your main force guard the 1st sacred item in your possession. Shift your item to a remote town if you have to. 3, Have your other group explore and find other sacred items by liberating towns with such items. An extra item gives you more Karma and MP which will increase the max capacity of your forces and the ability to recruit a strong monster. Each item also has a unique effect to aid you in killing the dragon. 4, Create enough groups to be able to each hold one sacred item at most and place them in towns which your enemy forces can't get to. Towns without items are good for replenishing forces depending on your karma capacity and your group capacity. 5, Once you have all items(3), you can wait for the dragon to appear and create a group from the 3 main groups guarding their sacred items to hunt the dragon. 6, The tricky part is the control of the game. Once you get used to how the game works with your buttons, you will be able to do all of the above. Strategy to wipe out enemy competitors and not letting wild beasts interfere with your plans is the key to winning the game.
