Dragan Marković (Serbian Cyrillic: Драган Марковић; born on May 2, 1960 in Končarevo, municipality of Svetozarevo, which is present-day municipality of Jagodina), and commonly known as Palma ("palm tree"), is a Serbian politician and entrepreneur, currently serving as a member of the National Assembly of Serbia and founder and the party leader of United Serbia (Jedinstvena Srbija) political party. He was also the mayor of Jagodina from 2004 until 2012.[1] In February 2001, he was appointed Deputy Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management in the first democratic, post-communist and post-Milosevic government of Serbia. Today, he is president of City Assembly Jagodina.

Dragan Marković is well known for his gaffes such as when he claimed that Ludwig van Beethoven and Frédéric Chopin "failed to perform for me in my youth".[2]
