Drägerman
Rescue workers in mines are often referred to as Drägermen or Drägerwomen.
The name originates from Alexander Bernhard Dräger, a German scientist who invented the combination of a gas mask and an oxygen inhalator as a breathing apparatus for the work in underground rescue,[1] 2nd Generation CEO of the Dräger company in Germany.
