Douglas Everett Sparks (born January 8, 1956) was Dean of Saint Paul's Cathedral, Wellington from 2003 until 2004. [1]

Sparks attended St. Mary's Seminary College and was ordained a deacon in the Roman Catholic Church in 1983. Sparks served in Missouri, Colorado and Illinois and was received into the Episcopal Church[2]in 1989. Sparks became Rector of St Luke's in Whitewater, Wisconsin in 1990; a post he held until 1995. After a further incumbency at St Matthias in Waukesha, Wisconsin, he spent eighteen months serving as Dean of Saint Paul's Cathedral in Wellington, New Zealand. On his return he became Rector of St Luke's Episcopal Church in Rochester, Minnesota.[3]

On February 6, 2016, he became bishop-elect for the Episcopal Diocese of Northern Indiana.
