Dongyang University is a private university located in Yeongju, South Korea. The graduating class of 2012 numbered 672. The current president is Sung-Hae Choi (최성해).

Academics

Undergraduate offerings are divided among six colleges: College of Administrator, College of Management, College of Railroad Sciences, College of Public Health, Education and Physical Education, College of Defense Technology, College of Applied Life Sciences. As with many provincial Korean universities, a considerable portion of undergraduate students begin their studies here, transferring to higher level schools after completing two to three years of study.

A variety of doctoral and master's programs are also provided, mostly in engineering-related fields.

Location

The campus is situated in Punggi-eup, an outlying region of Yeongju City.

History

The school was established in 1994 by the Hyeonam Educational Foundation. At the time it was named Dongyang Engineering University. The name was shortened to Dongyang University in 1996.
