Doll Doll Doll is a 2001 album by breakcore artist Venetian Snares. The album is extremely dark, themed largely around the murder of children. While being a primarily breakcore album, it also featured very varied influences in keeping with Venetian Snares' style, including classical, ambient and jazz, and uses these along with other influences to make the album have a dark and atmospheric undertone.
Samples
Doll Doll Doll features numerous samples, including Apocalyptica's version of the Metallica song "Harvester of Sorrow" on the song "Dollmaker", which also contains numerous samples from the song "The Anthem" by Sway & King Tech, as well as a recording of what appears to be an information line for the murder of JonBenét Ramsey. "I Rent the Ocean" contains samples from Aulis Sallinen's Winter Was Hard and work by Philip Glass, and the song "Remi" contains samples from the video game EarthBound. "Befriend a Childkiller" features samples from the computer game Fallout 2. "Macerate and Petrify" features distorted but recognisable samples of the song "Silence" by Delerium. "Pressure Torture" includes audio samples from the film The Cell and the "Miranda Tapes" of serial killers Leonard Lake and Charles Ng. "All the Children Are Dead" samples a phone call from the radio program Coast to Coast AM and a record of monks chanting.
