Dewas Junction lies on Indore Junction BG - Ujjain Junction branch line and it has one line originating and going towards Maksi Junction which connects Nagda Bhopal Junction WR-CR link line. Indore - Ujjain line is fully electrified and now Electric engines pull trains on this sector.
