Devon "Devi Dev" Anjelica (born June 18, 1985 in Los Angeles, California) is an American radio and television personality of African American and Caucasian descent. She is a morning show host on Sirius XM's Shade 45.[1]

Early life
Dev was born at Hollywood Presbyterian Medical Center in Los Angeles, California on June 18. She attended and graduated Cal State Northridge from 2003 to 2007, where she majored in Broadcast Journalism.
Career
Radio
In 2006, Dev joined the Los Angeles radio station 93.5 KDAY. She held positions that included Music Director, On-Air Personality, Community Actions Director, and Assistant Program Director. While at KDAY, Dev teamed up with DJ Eque to create "TheLEFTeffect", an online series dedicated towards featuring indie artists.[2]
From 2010-2011, Devi Dev moved to Houston, Texas and became the midday personality for Radio One's leading Hip-Hop radio station, 97.9 The Box (KBXX).
After spending time in the South, Dev headed to New York to co-host Sirius XM's Sway In The Morning on Shade 45 with MTV's Sway Calloway. She has conducted exclusive interviews with Kanye West, Dr. Dre, T.I., John Singleton, Quincy Jones, Angela Bassett, and many more.
Television
Devi Dev filmed a pilot with MTV in 2012. She also does commentary for MTV and MTV2.
On March 7, 2012, MTV announced the debut of their new late-night music and talk performance show, "MTV's Hip-Hop POV" beginning Wednesday, April 11, at 10:00 p.m. ET/PT.[3] The weekly half-hour episode incorporates a panel of music industry experts who "draw from their individual experiences and profound entertainment knowledge to form a unique voice of authority in the world of hip-hop."[4] The commentators include Devi Dev, Amanda Seales, Sowmya Krishnamurthy, and Charlamagne Tha God.
Mixtapes
Dev and Terrace Martin released a mixtape in 2010 titled "Here, My Dear", which was ranked in XXL's Top mixtapes of 2010 list.[5] In 2011 she released "The SEX ep", a follow-up to her previous mixtape. She subsequently released "The SEX ep 2.0".
Controversy
In 2010, Devi Dev broke the news about Kanye West responding to former President George W. Bush. Her interview was featured on Good Morning America and The Today Show.[6]
After releasing "The SEX ep" Mixtape, Kim Kardashian issued a cease and desist letter to Dev and Terrace Martin for the unauthorized use of "a photo of her own bare breasts",[7] hence, releasing "The SEX ep 2.0".
Personal life
On November 22, 2011, Devi Dev got engaged to the Houston Texans lineman Duane Brown. They were married on July 14, 2012 in Santa Susana, California.
