Delft, Minnesota
Delft is an unincorporated community (Class Code U6) located in Cottonwood County, Minnesota at latitude 43.986 and longitude -95.089 (Delft Panoramio Photos). The elevation is 1,453 feet. Delft appears on the Bingham Lake U.S. Geological Survey Map.[1]
History
The railroad was extended to Delft in 1892, and Delft was platted in 1902.[2] The community was named after Delft, in the Netherlands.[3] A post office was in operation at Delft between 1903 and 1993.[4]
