Def Jux Presents is the first album released by the Definitive Jux hip hop label. It served its purpose as a preview of what to come from one of the reigning underground hip hop labels. All of the Company Flow and Cannibal Ox songs were featured on "DPA (As Seen On TV)/Iron Galaxy", a split vinyl EP released in 2000. The Cannibal Ox tracks were also featured on their debut album entitled The Cold Vein. The RJD2 song, "Silver Fox" was featured on his Deadringer album. The album's cover parodies the cover of a repress of the book Ubik by Philip K. Dick.
