Dear Santa is the third EP by the South Korean girl group, Girls' Generation-TTS. It was released digitally and physically on December 4, 2015 by S.M. Entertainment.

Background and release

On November 24, 2015, Girls' Generation-TTS was announced to be releasing Dear Santa and teaser images for the mini-album started to be released.[1] The title track "Dear Santa" comes in two versions sung in different languages, one in Korean and the other in English. Seohyun was also revealed to have composed the lyrics for the Korean version of the song, which describes a request to Santa Claus to make a wish to come true on Christmas.[2] Two teaser videos with different concepts and themes were released on November 30 and December 1.[3][4] The mini-album and the title track's two music videos, one for each language, were released simultaneously on December 4.[5]

Promotion

Starting from December 4, Girls' Generation-TTS performed the title track "Dear Santa" and other side tracks on KBS's Music Bank, MBC's Music Core, and SBS's Inkigayo. On December 11, S.M. Entertainment released a video of the trio performing the song "Winter Story" live with an acoustic band.[6]
