Dead & Company concert chronology

The Dead & Company Summer Tour 2016 is a scheduled concert tour by the rock band Dead & Company that is scheduled to take place in June and July 2016.[1][2][3]

It will be the band's second tour, following their 2015 tour.[4] At the band's final show for the 2015 Tour at the The Forum in Inglewood, California, John Mayer hinted that the band would continue touring in 2016, stating at the conclusion of the show, "At the risk of rocking any boats—known and unknown—we'll see you next year."[5]

Overview

The Dead & Company Summer Tour 2016 is scheduled to take place between June 9 and July 16, 2016. They are scheduled to perform a total of 18 concerts in 14 different cities which will include performing at three different baseball[6] and football stadiums. They are also going to be one of the headliners at the 2016 Bonnaroo Music Festival.[7] It is currently unknown which day they will perform at Bonnaroo but it will be either on Thursday June 9, Saturday June 11 or Sunday June 12 because they have another show scheduled for the evening of Friday June 10.

The tour will end with the July 15–16 shows at Fenway Park in Boston, Massachusetts.[6] During the course of their career, the Grateful Dead never performed at Fenway Park, and these concerts will mark the first shows ever performed there by members of the former band.[6]

John Mayer will be performing vocals that used to be sung by the late Jerry Garcia.[6] Phil Lesh, one of the "core four" original members of the Grateful Dead, will not be performing at the shows.[6]

Tour dates

The band is scheduled to perform a total of 18 concerts in 14 different U.S. cities. The Bonnaroo Music Festival show was announced before the additional tour dates.[8]
