The De Queen and Eastern Railroad (reporting mark DQE) is a Class III short-line railroad headquartered in De Queen, Arkansas.[1]

QE operates 87 miles (140 km) of track[2] in Arkansas on a 45.3 miles (72.9 km) line from De Queen, where it interchanges with both the Kansas City Southern Railway and Texas, Oklahoma and Eastern Railroad to Perkins, Arkansas, where it interchanges with Union Pacific Railroad.[1]

DQE hauls around 35,000 carloads a year;[2] its traffic generally consists of forest products, gypsum board, grain, and paper.[1]

DQE was incorporated in 1900.[1] It is a subsidiary of Weyerhaeuser Company, which on 2 August 2010 announced that the DQE, along with Weyerhaeuser's other railroads, will be sold to Patriot Rail Corporation in late 2010.[2]
