Dax Swanson (born March 21, 1991) is an American football cornerback for the Miami Dolphins of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Sam Houston State. Swanson signed with the Indianapolis Colts as an undrafted free agent in 2013.
Professional career
Indianapolis Colts
In 2013 Swanson was signed as an undrafted free agent by the Indianapolis Colts. On September 1, 2013, he was placed on injured reserve. On October 29, 2013, he was waived.
San Francisco 49ers
On November 18, 2013, Swanson was signed to the San Francisco 49ers' practice squad. On January 21, 2014, he was signed to a future contract. On May 12, 2014, he was waived.
New England Patriots
On May 22, 2014, Swanson was signed by the New England Patriots. On August 30, 2014, he was waived. On September 1, 2014, he was signed to the practice squad. On September 3, 2014, he was released from practice squad. On September 17, 2014, he was re-signed to the pracitce squad. On November 26, 2014, he was released from practice squad. On December 3, 2014, he was re-signed to the practice squad. On December 23, 2014, he was released from practice squad. On December 27, 2014, he was re-signed to the practice squad. On February 5, 2015, he was signed. On September 5, 2015, he was waived. On September 7, 2015, he was signed to the practice squad. On September 19, 2015, he was released from practice squad.

On October 20, 2015, Swanson was signed to the practice squad of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.[1] On Ocotber 27, 2015, he was released from practice squad.
