David Strachan (bishop)
David Strachan (died 1671) was a Scottish clergyman. Originating in a branch of the house of Thorntoun in the Mearns, he opted for a career in the Kirk and became parson of Fettercairn. In 1662, after the Restoration, episcopacy was restored in the Church of Scotland and Strachan was appointed Bishop of Brechin. He was consecrated on 1 June 1662. He held the position until his death in 1671.
