David Jiménez

David Jiménez (Barcelona, 1971) is a Spanish journalist. From May 2015 is director of the newspaper El Mundo, in replacement of Casimiro García-Abadillo.[1]

Biography

Been born in Barcelona, in 1971, is graduate in journalism by the University of Barcelona. It began working in 1994 for the newspaper The World, in his edition of Madrid. From 1998 it was correspondent of Asia and Orient Next, and has covered especially the conflicts of Afghanistan, of Cashmere and of Timor Oriental.[1][2]

Path

In 2014 it enjoyed of a scholarship Nieman of the University of Harvard that has allowed him work in the Half Lab of the Technological Institute of Massachusetts (MIT) on the digital challenges of the press.[3]

To finals of April 2015 was appointed director of the newspaper The World, in replacement of Casimiro García-Abadillo, that had occupied the charge from the cessation of Pedro J. Ramírez, on 30 January 2014.[2]
